The remit of the Friends of St Leonard’s is to raise funds to maintain the church building and as thus, we run various fundraising events in the village of Flamstead. Although the last year has curtailed our ability to run our normal events, we are grateful to members of the village who have assisted us in organising Socially Distanced events for all to enjoy. We look forward to resuming our regular events as soon as we can.
Recent Events
⭐2021 – Flamathon Scavenger Hunt (in conjunction with FoFS and Wishtree Charity)
⭐2020 – Flamstead Christmas Lights Festival
⭐2019 – Flamstead Book Festival
⭐2018 – Flamstead Scarecrow Festival
⭐ 2018 – Flamstead Book Festival
We have been running the Flamstead Scarecrow Festival since 2002 (2019/2020 excepted) and we also run the Flamstead Book Festival typically as an annual event.
Our most recent socially distanced events were organised by Tim and Annabel during Lockdown 2020/2021 and we hope to potentially make the Flamstead Christmas Lights Festival another one of our annual events.
We also normally run suppers and other fundraising events during the year, which we are hoping to get back to doing when government guidelines allow.
